Minutes of the Planning Committee Meeting of Tuesday 23rd April 2013 held at 7.30pm. in the Reading Room, Church Road, Buxted.
Present: Cllrs. Sheard (Acting Chairman), Blandford, Harding, Rose and Warner. Also in attendance Miss B Macklen, Clerk to Buxted Parish Council

1. Apologies: Apologies were received and accepted from Cllrs. Dopson, Blandford and WDC Cllr. Buck
2. Minutes: The minutes of the meeting of 9th April 2013 were approved and signed as a correct record by the Chairman.
3. Declaration of Members Interests in respect of items on this agenda

All Cllrs. declared a personal interest in respect to item 4.2 on the agenda by virtue of the applicant being a doctor in Buxted village

No objection – recommend approval. The Parish Council does not consider that a conversion of April Cottage to residential use would have any increase to traffic movements to this property, thus having no further impact on the Ashdown Forest. It also considers that a residential use would have less impact on traffic movements than the existing business use.

7. Announcements: The clerk updated the committee that the proposed community hall in Buxted has been the subject of further correspondence with WDC following the reporting to the Parish Council meeting on 9th April. It has been suggested by WDC Cllr. Galley (Portfolio Holder for Planning and Development) that a meeting is arranged between the Parish Council/Hall Group and WDC to try and resolve the current outstanding issues. Until these matters have been discussed and suitably agreed, the architect for the scheme will not be progressing with the design. A meeting date is currently being agreed.
