Wealden Prevention team would like to wish you a Happy Christmas.
My team has been working hard this year to tackle crime and Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) in Wealden, we appreciate there is still work to be done, but hope the positive step in having Police Community Support Officers (PCSO) being aligned to geographical areas with support this. To find which PCSO covers your area please visit the police.uk website.
We continue to work with our partners and stakeholders to tackle anti-social behaviour in our main towns, to work to target harden locations, promote and support diversionary options and work with youth offending teams to those offenders who harm us most.
Over the coming weeks leading up to Christmas we have ring fenced some resources for dedicated patrols to tackle ASB concerns.
This includes additional Op Blitz dates in addition to Friday and Saturday night from the Friday 21st December through to Sunday 5th January 1600 – 2200 (excluding BH).
Operation Blitz provides designated additional patrols each Friday and Saturday night targeting areas of known ASB, Officer can be contact between the hours on 1800 – 0000 using the following dedicated telephone number 07770 700642.
Sussex Police supports the national campaign against knife crime, although Wealden remains a safe location in respect to knife crime, we have dedicated patrols each week to combat knife crime locally.
