Hurswood View would like to invite you to a coffee morning to increase your knowledge and understanding of dementia and become a dementia friend.
At Hurstwood view we are passionate about supporting the people of Sussex in learning more and having a better understanding of dementia and how the local community can come together and make a difference to dementia sufferers living local to us as well as making our local area a happy place for people to live with dementia.
The morning will give you the opportunity to learn about what it is like to live with dementia and turn that understanding into action.
We have also invited local businesses as It’s really easy to do and will benefit them being able to support any dementia sufferers within the town and surrounding villages.
The scheme is run by the Alzheimer’s Society’s and the Dementia Friends programme is the biggest ever initiative to change people’s perceptions of dementia. It aims to transform the way the nation thinks, acts and talks about the condition and we are hoping to help expand this initiative in our area.
So if you or one of your colleagues could spare just 1 hour of your time to make a difference to those living with dementia, then please see full details on the attached invitation.
There is no need to book your place but advising us of your attendance would be appreciated
Kind regards
Leanne Thompson and Samantha Harding
