Planning Applications
Application No: WD/2018/2162/F Location: Redbrook House, Pound Green, Buxted, TN22 4JN. Description: Change of use of an existing barn within the curtilage of an existing house to separate residential use. Applicant: Mr G Bartholomew Agent: Barker Shorten Architects LLP Response from Buxted Parish Council to Wealden District Council: The parish council were made aware of the letter of objection from the neighbour, with regards to overlooking their garden and loss of privacy. The parish council object to the current design of this application, given the neighbours’ concerns. The parish council would also like to say that this barn was once part of Heatherwode Farm and is recorded as such on the Heritage Environment website. It is recommended the Greg Chuter, County Archaeologist is consulted on this application as it may be appropriate to carry out a Standing Building survey of this barn.
Application No: WD/2018/1936/F Location: Creteway, Limes Lane, Buxted, TN22 4PE Description: Extension to south east of existing property and replacement of windows. Applicant: Mr & Mrs Ball Agent: SBH Design Ltd Response from Buxted Parish Council to Wealden District Council: No objection, recommend approval.

Planning applications considered by email consultation, due to the deadline set by Wealden District Council for the parish council’s response:
Application No: WD/2018/1896/MAJ Location: Mascalls Farm, Framfield Road, Buxted, TN22 4PP Description: Dog day field for exercising and caring of dogs during normal weekday business hours only; no overnight use, no kennels. erection of timber buildings as office stores, shelters etc and incidental fencing. Response from Buxted Parish Council to Wealden District Council: The parish council object to this application because of the noise and visual impact this will have on neighbouring properties and are aware that several neighbours will be submitting an objection to this application. There are also concerns over the traffic movements – including that of traffic for the grooming parlour - in what is considered to be an awkward lane for traffic already. The parish council also note that no planning notices have been displayed at this site.
Application No: WD/2018/1635/F Location: White Lodge, Church Road, Buxted. Description: Proposed extensions and alterations to dwelling, new summer house, and new entrance gates. Response Buxted Parish Council to Wealden District Council: no objection, recommend approval.
Application No: WD/2018/2070/F Location: Firgrove, Burnt Oak Road, High Hurstwood. Description: Erection of single storey, steel framed outbuilding/barn Response Buxted Parish Council to Wealden District Council: no objection, recommend approval.
Application No: WD/2018/2127/F Location: Pick Wicks, Church Road, Buxted Description: Detached double garage Response Buxted Parish Council to Wealden District Council: the parish council are concerned about the height of this garage, and its impact on the neighbouring property, and therefore object.
Application: WD/2018/2100/PO Location: Reads Farm, Rocks Lane, High Hurstwood. Description: Removal of Section 106 planning obligation dated 14th August 1992. This planning obligation was relevant to land forming part of stone house farm – with the obligation ‘not to erect or construct or permit the erection or construction of any dwelling house or any type of residential accommodation on any part of the property. They wish for removal of land from second schedule of planning agreement dated 14.8.1992 attached to planning permission ref WD/1989/4829/f Response: Buxted Parish Council feel that the conditions were put in place for a reason, and from the documents submitted, they cannot see what the full intention is for this piece of land in the future. So, with this lack of information, the parish council object to this application the parish
