Buxted Parish object to this application. Due to the small scale plans and thus difficulty in fully assessing the development and how it may affect the neighbouring property, it is felt that this is overdevelopment of a small site.

Description: Agricultural barn being used as residential

Buxted Parish Council Response:

Buxted Parish Council object to this application. The position of the Parish Council remains the same as when the previous application was submitted (WD/2014/0600/LDE), there are no signs of any persons living permanently at this location. There are rarely any signs of visible traffic, although we are aware of a few sheep at the location. The ‘barn’ is in a field behind locked corrugated security doors with a barrier at the side of the road.

Buxted Parish Council response; Cllr Rose commented that gas for the heating system in the annexe has been supplied by George Rose of Buxted from the last 4 or 5 years. The Parish Council note that the previous application for this garage to be developed into a dwelling was refused in 1988. ISSUED

WD/2015/0892/FA

 

71 Five Ash Down Uckfield, TN22 3AN. Minor material amendment to WD/2012/2362/F. Demolition of existing semi-detached cottage and erection of two new detached dwellings. Buxted Parish Council response: Cllr Harding and various neighbours have submitted enquiries to the Clerk about this site. The developers of this site have built what appears to be a road in between the two houses, possibly to safeguard an entrance to any potential future development in the field behind the two houses. The material amendment is to fence the back of the development site and grass over the area behind the fence so it looks much like a normal field and not like an entrance into a new development. Buxted Parish Council note the changes to the original plans and hope that there is no further development on this site and that the field remains untouched. APPROVED

However it is suggested that WDC consult the County Archaeologist before planning permission is given, to ascertain if any conditions need to be imposed in relation to the archaeological area.
