3. Declaration of Members Interests in respect of items on this agenda:

Cllr. Warner declared a personal interest in respect of any discussion involving the new surgery and Ionides Trust site by virtue of being a Parish Council representative on the Ionides Trust.

4. Planning Applications

Application No. WD/2009/2571/F

Location: Brownheath House, Pound Green, Buxted

Description: Extension to existing garage to provide two additional parking spaces – replacing existing poor quality flat roof with shallow pitched roof to improve both visual and weather proofing in the building.

Applicant: Dr J Pereira

Agent: Mr D Nicholson

No objection – however the Parish Council would comment that its regrets the chosen roof materials but understands the rational that a metal roof keeps the ridge low and would be unable to convert to further accommodation in the future.  The Parish Council therefore requests that the roof colouring is sensitive to the location and would suggest that either dark green or dark red would be suitable.

Application No. WD/2010/0020/F

Location: Newnham Park Farm, Poundgate, Crowborough

Description: Alterations and additions

Applicant: Mrs L Lloyd

Agent: Mike Hill – Architectural Services

No objection

5. Any other matters properly notified

Members briefly discussed the proposals for the new surgery on the Ionides Trust site and thought that now that the scheme is progressing, it might be a good idea for the doctors to be invited to the next meeting of the Parish Council to share with Councillors any thoughts that they may have on the current designs of the building in order to ensure that communication between all parties is maintained throughout the whole process and before the designs go to public consutlation.  The clerk is to write to the doctors.
