Minutes of the Buxted Parish Council Planning Committee meeting 12th February 2019.

                                                                       

 

Present: Cllrs Rose (Chairman), Blandford, Roberts, McQuarrie and Hoggan. Also present at this meeting: Cllr Wells, Mrs C Feltham and Miss B Macklen – Clerks to the Parish Council.

 

 

Public: Three members of public present at this meeting.

 

Henry Wagstaff, Planning Consultant of Parker Dann – spoke in support of application 4.1 of this agenda.

Apologies were received and accepted from Cllr Cox

Declaration of Members personal and prejudicial Interests in respect of items on this agenda.

Cllr Rose declared a personal interest in respect of item 4.1 of this agenda as he knows the families of the applicants.

Description: Demolition of existing buildings and structure and erection of single dwelling with detached garage, driveway and soft landscaping.

Buxted Parish Council response to Wealden District Council: The parish council have no objections to this application – subject to the emerging planning policies from Wealden District Council.

Description: HIP to gable loft conversion, two storey side extension, porch and change of use of land to residential.

Buxted Parish Council response to Wealden District Council: the parish council have no objection to this application and recommend approval.

Location: Hindover, Coopers Green, TN22 3AA.

Description: Removal of existing conservatory and replace with new, and front extension to garage with new raised garage roof.

Applicant: Mr & Mrs White

Agent: County Windows.

Buxted Parish Council response to Wealden District Council: the parish council have no objection and recommend approval for this application.

 

Planning applications considered by email consultation, due to the deadline set by Wealden District Council for the parish council’s response:

 

Application: WD/2018/2683/PO

Location: Lower Totease Farm, Framfield Road, Buxted, TN22 4LF.

Description: Discharge of section 106 agreement attached to planning permission WD/2002/0498/f (erection of implement store with associated hardstanding (part retrospective).

Response: Buxted Parish Council reached a majority vote to object to this planning application. There are concerns that this is outside of the village boundary and could set a precedent if this was to be used for new houses, which would be in breach of the policies relating to the Ashdown Forest. This land has bats and lots of wildlife, access could also be an issue as access is via a very narrow drive.
