The Big Draw on Ashdown Forest

The Big Draw on the Forest

Sunday 7th October

10.30am—4.30pm

Ashdown Forest Centre,

Wych Cross, RH18 5JP

Come draw, doodle, scribble or sketch on the Ashdown Forest. It could be a landscape, leaf, bird or shadow, a footprint, view, tree or twig, a memory or something else that catches your eye.

Open to all ages, all abilities and in all weathers.  Your art work will become part of our community exhibition at the Forest Centre.

The Pop Up Café will be open for refreshments during the day.

This event is part of the Big Draw Festival 2018.

Donations to the Ashdown Forest very welcome.

Bring along your own paper (A5 or smaller) and pencil/pen/charcoal/crayon.  Some drawing materials will be available from the Education Barn.  If it’s wet there will be space and inspiration in the Education Barn or if the weather is good there is the whole of the Forest to explore and draw.

There is parking in the Forest Centre car park, Broadstone car park and a little further away at Lintons car park.

If you would like, your art work will become part of our community exhibition in the Information Centre and be on display from 7th October until 28th October.  See the website for Centre opening times.  At the end of the exhibition you can collect you work to take home.  If you know you won’t be able to make it back to the Forest Centre you could leave a stamped addressed envelope and we will return your work.

If you can’t make it on the day you can still contribute art works from the Forest by bringing it along to add to the exhibition any time between 7th – 28th October during visitor centre opening times.
