Extra grit from East Sussex County Highways

East Sussex Highways have arranged for extra grit to be deposited at the following locations to help local people to keep side roads free where the Highways gritters are unable to visit:

 

Willingdon – By the Triangle

 

Horam – Suitable highway verge location in village centre

 

Wadhurst – Town centre

 

Herstmonceux – Suitable highway verge location in village centre

 

Alfriston – Town centre (memorial)

 

East Dean – In the dip opposite junction with Gilberts Drive

 

East Hoathly – Suitable highway verge location in village centre

 

Buxted – High Street (opposite George Rose – tool hire shop in layby)

 

Maresfield – High Street (opposite Church)

 

Polegate – High Street

 

Hailsham – High Street (by pedestrian area)

 

Heathfield – New Parade

 

Heathfield – Station Approach

 

Mayfield – High Street (outside church)

 

Rotherfield – High Street/Church road junction

 

Crowborough – Pine Grove car park

 

Crowborough – High Street (Crowborough X Roads)

 

Forest Row – South end of The Square

 

Nutley – High Street (suitable location near speed camera)

 

Danehill – Junction Horsted Lane and London Road

 

Pevensey Bay – Suitable highway location in village centre

 

Uckfield – Short term car park

 

Uckfield – Station carpark entrance

 

The grit will be in cubic metre bags and is being deposited in the next few days. Bring your own shovel and only apply grit when it is safe to do so.
